Welcome to REMC Realty, LLC.  This page is designed for prospective agents to navigate their way through to becoming a licensed real estate agent and Realtor.

The best place I have found to start is the Texas Real Estate Commission website.

To take your required courses I recommend the Champions School of Real Estate.  They are located on Preston Road about a mile south of Frankfort in Dallas.  Correspondence courses are a very quick way to accomplish the requirements.  Classes will give you more information, if you have the time.

After you take your courses and pass your exam, you will need to find a broker to work for.  I frequently recommend Keller Williams.  They provide great training and a good work environment.

You will then need to join a local association of Realtors to enjoy the benefits of the MLS and key card access.  You can look at fees and information at the Collin County of Realtors website:

I recommend that you budget about $3,500.00 for your first year in real estate.  As you start it seems the fees and costs keep coming.  This amount should carry you through the business cards, lock boxes, training classes, etc.

I wish you the best of luck.  And remember, someone said, "It seems the harder I work, the luckier I get."
